How to run for City Council
- Step 1
Meet eligibility requirements
Must be a registered voter and must have resided in the city during the six months immediately preceding the election. City Council candidates must also be residents of their ward

File for office
- Filing requirements
- File form SEL 101 and file by petition with the signatures and addresses of at least 25 qualified Medford electors (electors may sign only 1 petition) with form SEL 121 (must be approved before circulating) [note: all signatures must be numbered and verified by the city elections official and filed with SEL 338]
