Eligibility Requirements
Must be a qualified elector in Detroit and have resided within the city limits for 12 months immediately preceding the election. Five of the seven council members must be primary residents of Detroit.
Filing Requirements
File form SEL 101 and file by petition with 20 signatures of qualified electors with form SEL 121 (must be approved before circulating) [note: all signatures must be numbered and verified by the city elections official and filed with SEL 338]
