About this position
The Court of Appeals has jurisdiction to review appeals of most civil and criminal cases and most state administrative agency actions. The exceptions are appeals in death penalty, lawyer and judicial disciplinary, and Oregon Tax Court cases, which go directly to the Oregon Supreme Court.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be a qualified elector of county of residence and a member of the state bar; mandatory retirement age of 75.
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee-$100 OR The lesser of either (a) 1,000 signatures or (b) 1% of the number of votes cast for Governor in Oregon at the most recent election in which a candidate for Governor was elected to a full term.The signatures must include those of at least 100 electors registered in each of Oregon’s federal congressional districts.
