The State Appellate Court Justices are responsible for evaluating appeals to decisions made by lower courts.
Eligibility requirements
Must be licensed to practice law in Alabama, and must have been licensed by the Alabama State Bar Association or any other state bar association for a combined total of 10 years or more. Must be under the age of 70 years of age upon the date of election. Must not have been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment in the state or federal penitentiary.
