Job description
The Orange County Superintendent of Schools oversees the administration and supervises the day to day operations of the Orange County Department of Education. The superintendent has the authority to hire and dismiss county employees, and also plays a lead role in labor contracts. The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is a public education organization that offers support services to 27 school districts and more than 600 schools and 20,000 educators serving over 500,000 students in Orange County.
