Each registrar of voters shall reside in the municipality for which the registrar of voters is elected. You must be at least eighteen years old and shall reside in the municipality from which you are elected. Party candidates must be registered with said party.

In regards to newly-created offices, the number of qualified electors is prescribed in § 9-380.
