Job description

The Governor is the chief executive officer of a state and is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. The Governor oversees legislative proposals and vetoes, executive budgets, and implements executive orders.

Eligibility requirements

Must be at least 30 years of age, a U.S. citizen and inhabitant for 12 years next before the day of his or her election, and the last 6 years of that term an inhabitant of this State, unless he or she shall have been absent on public business of the U.S. or Delaware.
