Eligibility requirements
Must be at least 25 years of age, a registered voter and citizen of the state of Georgia, a holder of a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, and a resident of the county for at least one year prior to the election. Must not have been convicted of a felony offense or any offense involving moral turpitude. The county surveyor must be a qualified surveyor and licensed by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
