Job description
The Public Works Commissioner is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of town highways and bridges, and the removal of obstructions caused by brush and snow. The Commissioner generally has the power to hire, subject to appropriations established by the town board, and direct highway department employees for those purposes.
Eligibility requirements
Qualified elector/registered voter; A person is not eligible to take the oath of office for a municipal office if that person is, at the time required for taking the oath of office, in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the municipality or has been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony; One-year residency in the municipality preceding the Consolidated Election
