Job description
The High Bailiff assumes the duties of the County Sheriff if they are deemed unfit or in the event of a vacancy. If necessary, they may also carry out the arrest of the Sheriff. They are rarely asked to perform either of these duties.
Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be an elector and resident of the ward or district from which seeking election. Candidate shall be of good moral character, able to read and write the English language, and possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
