The County Executive is the chief executive officer of the county. The executive is generally given full responsibility for the total operation of all departments in the county.

Candidate must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Louisiana for the preceding 2 years, and lived in the district from which candidate seeks election for 1 year by the time of qualifying.
