Job description
The County Recorder is the custodian of all property and vital statistic records in the County. It is the duty of the Recorder to file all documents pertaining to Abstract and Torrens properties, federal and state tax liens, military discharges, plats, liens, miscellaneous documents, notary publics, minister ordinations and process marriage records. The department also keeps a connection with the MN Department of Health for the processing of birth and death requisitions and filings.
Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be an eligible voter in Minnesota, 21 upon assuming office, resident in the district for 30 days before general, cannot have filed for another office at the upcoming primary or general election.
