Job description

The County Sheriff is the chief law enforcement official of the county and is responsible for ensuring that all local, state, and federal laws are followed.

Eligibility requirements

Resident of county for more than 1 year before filing. Resident taxpayer and elector of county. No felony convictions. Capable of efficient law enforcement. Has a valid peace officer license (not applicable to St. Louis City or St. Louis County). Registered voter.
