Job description
The Special Zoning District Board is responsible for reviewing and enforcing all zoning matters within their jurisdiction. They govern alterations, new construction, additions, erecting sheds, height restrictions, setback and home occupations permits, among other items.
Eligibility requirements
Must be a qualified elector of the state, physically residing in the district in which the person is a candidate, and registered to vote in the district on the date the proclamation calling a local election is filed in the office of the secretary of state and must not be convicted of a felony, unless pardoned by the governor.
