Job description

County Court Judges are responsible for adjudicating cases in Civil and Criminal Courts at the trial-level in certain specific areas, such as small-claims court or drug court.

Eligibility requirements

Candidate must be a qualified elector of the district and have a high school diploma or equivalent. In districts with a population greater than 200,000 people, a judge must also be licensed to practice law in New Mexico.
