Job description
The lieutenant governor serves as the president of the senate when the legislature is in session, but only casts a tie-breaking vote. The lieutenant governor also serves as acting governor when the governor is out of state or otherwise unable to serve. The lieutenant governor also serves as the chair of the Nevada Commission on Tourism and the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.
