Job description
The County Legislature or Executive Board is the governing body of the county and exercises broad policy-making authority. The Board is charged with implementing policy and overseeing the county budget process and allocation.
Eligibility requirements
Each county Legislature shall be an elector of the county and a resident of the district from which he is elected. A county Legislature who ceases to be a resident of such district from which he is elected shall forfeit his office and the same shall be deemed vacant, except as provided in subsection 6. of this section. 4. A county Legislature shall not hold any other salaried or elective public office during his tenure.
