Job description
County Court Judges are responsible for adjudicating cases in Civil and Criminal Courts at the trial-level in certain specific areas, such as small-claims court or drug court.
Eligibility requirements
Must be no older than 70 years, a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the court, have six years admitted to, and engaged in, the practice of law in this state, or prior service as a judge of a court of record in the United States, or both, be a registered elector in the territorial jurisdiction of the court, and must designate the term of office on the declaration of candidacy or nominating petition if more than one office of that court is to be elected.
