Job description
The board of county commissioners are the county government's taxing, budgeting, appropriating, and purchasing authority. They hold title to county property. Individual commissioners have no power to act independently - all formal and official actions must be taken by the board of county commissioners acting as a body by majority or unanimous vote.
Eligibility requirements
maximum age: 70 years, must be a qualified elector residing in the district, must be admitted to practice as an attorney in this state and have, for a total of six years preceding the commencement of the term, engaged in the practice of law in Ohio or served as a judge of a court of record in any jurisdiction in the U.S., or both
