Job description

The Soil and Water District Board, or Water Improvement District Board, is responsible for overseeing soil and watersheds within the district, and making plans and proposals to maintain and improve their quality.

Eligibility requirements

Be a registered voter, a resident of the zone that is being represented, and actively manage 10 or more acres within the district boundaries, or actively manage 10 or more acres within the zone boundaries being represented, and reside within the district boundaries. Or, be a registered voter, and reside with the zone that is being ·represented, and have served at least one-year as a director or an associate director of an Oregon SWCD, and have a conservation plan approved by the SWCD.
