Job description

The City Legislature is the municipality's governing body, responsible for voting on ordinances and policies, and often is in charge of hiring a city manager.

Eligibility requirements

Must be a qualified Oregon elector and have resided in the city during the twelve months immediately preceding the election. Persons shall not be eligible for election as councilor unless at the time of his or her election the person is a resident of the ward from which he or she is elected.
