The City Assessor or Lister is responsible for determining the value of property within the city, primarily for local real estate taxation purposes.

Only voters shall be eligible to hold elective town office; but no elected town official shall simultaneously hold any other elected town office or be appointed to any office other than as a member of a multiple member body.
