A person is legally qualified to become a member of a school board if he or she is a United States citizen,complies with the provisions of law relating to the registration of voters and is a qualified elector, at least l8 years of age and not otherwise disqualified.In accordance with state law, no elective county, municipal, or state officer or holder of any other office, whose duties are incompatible or inconsistent with the duties of the school board member will beeligible for such membership.
