Eligibility requirements
Must be a resident of the City of Rosenberg for twelve (12) continuous months before the first allowed filing date for the election and have resided in the State of Texas for twelve (12) continuous months, and if a candidate for a council district position, then shall have been a resident of such district for twelve (12) continuous months before the first allowed filing date for the election; and be a United States citizen; and be twenty-one (21) years of age or older on the first day of the term of office that the candidate is seeking; and not have been previously determined mentally incompetent by a judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction; and not finally convicted of a felony for which a pardon has not been given.
