About this position
The City Commissioners serve as the legislative body. Members work in close harmony with the mayor to assure cooperation and teamwork from the department heads and other employees; and serve as a policy making body only, and support the mayor in implementation of said policy as passed by majority vote of the council meeting in regular and special session.

Eligibility Requirements
All potential candidates must be residents of the city, district, or ward who have resided in said city, district, or ward for 12 months preceding the election, and who have complied with the registration laws of the state and are qualified to vote in the election in which they are candidates.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Petition signature requirement of 25 signatures.
