The City Recorder is responsible for: keeping minutes of City Council and committee meetings, collect city property tax, process and collect traffic citations, issue business licenses, maintain and distribute public records, issue beer, solicitor, special event, and parade permits, process garbage can sales, collect utility payments, and home/business alarm registration.
All potential candidates must be residents of the city, district, or ward who have resided in said city, district, or ward for 12 months preceding the election, and who have complied with the registration laws of the state and are qualified to vote in the election in which they are candidates.
Filing Requirements
No filing fee. Petition signature requirement of 25 signatures.
