Eligibility Requirements
Each Councilman and Mayor shall possess the general eligibility requirements for public office required by state election law. The Councilmen and other officers of the City shall not hold any other public office, or work for the municipality.

Candidates must file an application for place on the ballot (this can be found on the Texas Secretary of State website) with the city secretary
