Must be a U.S. citizen // Must be at least 21 years of age // Must be a registered voter on the day of the election // Must be a resident of the city for at least one year preceding the election // Must not have been determined mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court // Must not have been finally convicted of a felony from which the candidate has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities
Filing Requirements
Filing fee of $0. Petition signature requirement of 0.5% of the entire vote cast for mayor in the preceding mayoral election, or twenty-five (25), whichever is greater.
