Meet eligibility requirements
Be a resident and eligible to vote in the Commonwealth of Virginia for at least one year

- Filing requirements
- Must file a Certificate of Candidate Qualification, submit a primary filing fee. The fee is 2% of salary, or if there is not salary attached to the position, it is $5.00. Declaration of Candidacy is also required as well as Petition of Qualified voters. Statement of Economic Interests, Party Certification and Statement of Organization and Campaign Finance Reports are also all required documents.
