Eligibility Requirements
Resident of ward thirty days prior to filing notice of candidacy; qualified voters of the city; remain resident of ward during term of office
Filing Requirements
Must file a Certificate of Candidate Qualification, submit a primary filing fee. The fee is 2% of salary, or if there is not salary attached to the position, it is $5.00. Declaration of Candidacy is also required as well as Petition of Qualified voters. Statement of Economic Interests, Party Certification and Statement of Organization and Campaign Finance Reports are also all required documents.
