The Local School Board Chair is the chair of a board responsible for overseeing school operations within the district and often of hiring/firing of school superintendents.
Qualified to vote for and hold the office sought. A resident of the Commonwealth for one year immediately preceding the election. A resident, by the time of filing, of the city or town in which he offers for election
Filing Requirements
Candidates for membership on the governing body of any county or city must collect at least 125 signatures; or if from an election district not at large containing 1,000 or fewer registered voters, 50 signatures.
