Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be at least 30 years of age. Must be a WV Citizen for five (5) years prior to election. Each circuit judge during his/her continuance in office, shall reside in the circuit for which he/she was elected. Judges serving a judicial circuit comprised of four or more counties with two or more judges shall not be residents of the same county. Must be in good standing of the West Virginia State Bar; Admitted to practice law at least five (5) years prior to election.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is 1% of the annual salary of the office; no signature requirement.
