It just makes good economic sense. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Amy supports a combination of emergency response planning and risk reduction, guided by ongoing fire science to keep our region safe. Criminal Justice / Public Safety We must restore the public's faith in the integrity and honesty of our Sheriff's Office, which is now under new leadership. Economy Amy will use every lever at her disposal to bring down the cost of living and make Deschutes County an affordable place to live and work. Infrastructure / Transportation Amy is committed to keeping rural lands rural by managing growth, building more workforce housing, and finding creative solutions to meet the changing needs of our region. Healthcare Amy will work to attract more health care providers, build and staff a youth crisis center in the region, and improve accessibility for critical care of people in Deschutes County. Environment / Energy We must act decisively to ensure the best use of each drop of surface and ground water.
