I am running for the Boone County School Board District 2 because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, inclusive, and high-quality educational environment. As a father of nine children—foster, adopted, and biological—I have seen firsthand the profound impact that dedicated teachers and a nurturing school community can have on a child's life. My campaign is built on three core pillars: Empowering Students, Strengthening Schools, and Building Community. I am committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their background or circumstances, receive the resources and support they need to reach their full potential. This means advocating for equitable access to educational tools, creating safe and inclusive school environments, and fostering transparent governance that actively involves parents, teachers, and community members. As a queer parent, I understand the importance of representation and the need for diverse voices in leadership positions. I am running to be a voice for all families, ensuring that the unique needs and experiences of every student are recognized and addressed. By working together, we can create a school district that celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and builds a stronger, more vibrant community. My journey as an educator, community advocate, and dedicated parent drives my passion to make Boone County Schools the best they can be.
