My Top Issues

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Moving forward, it's essential to balance maintaining strong fire protection with creating a funding approach that is transparent, equitable, and manageable for all communities involved.

Economy

If we want a thriving, walkable downtown with full storefronts and an active street life, we need to look at creative solutions—whether that's working with property owners on fairer lease terms, promoting pop-up and shared retail spaces, or making it easier for residents and workers to live nearby.

Housing

While there are promising new developments on the horizon, we need to do more to ensure that a range of housing options is available, including homes that fit modest budgets.

Environment / Energy

Removing the Saline Dam would restore the river to its natural flow, improving water quality, fish passage, and the health of our local ecosystem, while also reducing the city's long-term maintenance burden.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Expanding public transit to connect Saline would open new opportunities for workers and students, strengthen our local workforce, and reduce the number of cars on the road.
