Wages / Job Benefits Christian supports fare-free public transit for students and workers, paid for childcare for low income families, and raising the county’s minimum wage to 17.65, because honest workers deserve fair wages that allow everyone to care for their families. Infrastructure / Transportation Improve pedestrian crossings near schools, parks, and bus stops. Criminal Justice / Public Safety By investing in mental health care, youth focused programs, homelessness outreach, and disaster readiness, Christian will build a safer county through compassion, not just enforcement. Infrastructure / Transportation Install curb ramps and fix broken sidewalks in priority neighborhoods. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Launch a county-level mobile crisis response team modeled after the successfully run STAR program. Wages / Job Benefits Christian supports the creation of a county-level task force to identify, investigate, and assist local authorities and DA offices in prosecuting labor law violations, workplace discrimination, and corporate misconduct, ensuring workers’ rights are upheld. Infrastructure / Transportation Free bus access for all unionized workers commuting to and from their jobs. Social Services After-school and weekend programs, as well as extended learning centers.
