Housing Spread the tax base to reduce the burden on individual homeowners and small businesses and not pad the pockets of lobbyists and corporations. Education Fully fund Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) to meet the promise of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future: no delays, no shortcuts. Immigration Prioritize filling the vacant Latino Affairs Liaison position and provide sufficient support to conduct programming, outreach, and meet staffing needs. Environment / Energy Demand that any existing facilities meet strict environmental and noise standards. Government Reform Reform the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement to make permitting and inspections faster and equitable, with fewer regulatory hurdles for local businesses. Immigration Support investment and expansion of the Office of Multicultural Affairs so families can get direct help, know their rights, and find support in their own community. Environment / Energy Oppose all new hyperscale data center development that is net-negative to the quality of life of Prince Georgians—no increased bills, no pollution, and no sickness. Environment / Energy Advocate for land use policies that prioritize community benefit over corporate profit. Taxes / Budget Push for fully transparent, publicly accessible county budgeting and spending. Taxes / Budget Make it easier to access senior tax credits so older residents keep more of what they’ve earned. Taxes / Budget Demand accountability and audits for wasteful or mismanaged spending. Economy Cut red tape and reduce the tax burden on small businesses. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Support the autonomy and independence of civilian oversight of law enforcement as established through the Maryland Police Accountability Act of 2021, and CB-021-2022. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensure law enforcement and first responders have the resources to serve residents effectively and equitably. Social Services Expand access to quality county services, transportation, and health care resources. Immigration Expand access to pro-bono and affordable legal services for immigrant residents facing federal threats. Education Expand access to apprenticeship programs, trade and vocational training, and pathways to 2- and 4-year institutions. Social Services Prioritize the development of comprehensive senior safety programs, specifically those targeting hazard reduction and injury prevention at home. Housing Create an Office of Tenant Advocate to streamline resources and protect renters in Prince George’s County. Infrastructure / Transportation Improve street lighting, sidewalks, and public transit infrastructure throughout District 2.
