My Top Issues
Taxes / Budget
As mayor, I will focus on creating opportunities through strategic partnerships – not tax hikes – to ease the financial burden on taxpayers. I’ll work closely with stakeholders to attract the right businesses and investments that benefit our community.
Environment / Energy
Steele’s natural beauty is one of our greatest assets — from Horse Pens 40 to our local farms. These places reflect our history, economy, and way of life. As mayor, I’ll work to protect our land through smart growth policies, support our local farmers, and collaborate with conservation groups to preserve our scenic and ecological heritage.
Social Services
I fully support the Steele Public Library and all it offers our community, from educational programs to internet access. As mayor, I’ll work to expand its reach and ensure it has the tools it needs to thrive. I’ll also prioritize resources like our senior center and other essential programs, so every resident – from kids to seniors – feels supported, connected, and proud to call Steele home.
Infrastructure / Transportation
As mayor, I’m committed to pursuing every viable solution, whether it’s through partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies or by securing additional funding opportunities. Because this isn’t just about pavement—it’s about protecting the quality of life for every person who lives and works in our town.
Criminal Justice / Public Safety
Steele’s first responders are the backbone of our community—answering the call in our most difficult moments, no matter the hour or conditions. As mayor, I’ll ensure they have the tools, training, and support they need by prioritizing funding for essential equipment, pursuing grants, and advocating for competitive pay and benefits.
