My Top Issues

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Crime prevention is critical to creating a stronger Tacoma.

Economy

Building a Skilled and Ready Workforce: Partner with schools, colleges, and workforce organizations to create pathways to meaningful careers and ensure Tacoma residents have the skills to support local businesses and industries.

Housing

Expanding Affordable and Supportive Housing: I will continue prioritizing investments from Tacoma’s Housing Trust Fund to build more affordable housing and permanent supportive housing options throughout our city.

Taxes / Budget

Transparency: Making it easier for people to see how the city makes budget decisions.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Every resident deserves access to safe sidewalks, clean business districts, and responsive city services.

Taxes / Budget

Fiscal Responsibility: Keeping the city’s budget balanced and saving money in reserves so we’re ready for unexpected challenges.

Social Services

I will work with state and regional partners to expand access to substance use disorder treatment and ensure greater availability of mental health services.

Economy

Supporting and Growing Local Businesses: Provide resources, reduce barriers, and leverage our city’s unique assets, like the Port and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, to help Tacoma’s businesses grow and thrive.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

By investing in new, proactive solutions, supporting our police department, and working collaboratively with community groups, businesses, and residents, we can move Tacoma forward and ensure it remains a place where everyone feels secure.

Taxes / Budget

Accountability: Tracking how well city programs are working. If something isn’t delivering results, we’ll make changes to ensure your money is used wisely.

Housing

I want to explore new, innovative approaches to homelessness. This includes creating a grant program to fund creative ideas and pilot projects for housing and services, streamlining systems to move people into housing more efficiently, and supporting smaller, flexible housing models to address gaps in our current system.
