Economy Small businesses create jobs, strengthen the economy, and support our communities. We must lower taxes and reduce unnecessary regulations so that small businesses can compete on a level playing field with large corporations. Immigration We learned that what happens at the border doesn’t stay at the border. Cities and towns across Arizona were picking up the financial burdens of illegal immigration. Thankfully, the Trump Administration has delivered one of the most secure borders in history. Arizona must continue to keep our border safe. We can take the lead by assisting the federal government with law enforcement partnerships and additional resources to keep our border secure. Education Strong schools build strong economies. Chandler is home to some of the top public and private schools in Arizona. In the State Legislature, I’ll continue advocating for Arizona to be the national leader in school choice, while ensuring our schools maintain rigorous standards and put student achievement first. Guns I’m a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. When cities and towns across the country restrict citizen gun rights, that means only the criminals have them. Citizens have the right to safety and self-defense. Taxes / Budget Government can be efficient without being expensive. During my time as Mayor and on the City Council, we lowered property tax rates, maintained the lowest sales tax in the state, and paid down pension liabilities. Taxpayers work too hard for the government to take more of their paychecks. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Chandler is one of the safest cities in Arizona because we value our police officers and the work they do to protect us. I’ve led the charge to raise the pay for first responders and invested in the Chandler Public Safety Center so they could train in Chandler. Arizonans deserve safe communities—and that means supporting all our first responders.
