My Top Issues

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

I will ensure we fund critical public safety needs—like police, fire, and emergency services—without waste. But true safety goes beyond emergency response. Well-maintained streets, parks, and public spaces contribute to a secure and welcoming environment. I will look for innovative, cost-effective ways to strengthen neighborhood safety.

Environment / Energy

Our parks are a vital part of what makes Sandy such a special place to live. I will work to support their beauty and usability while ensuring they meet the needs of today’s families. That means looking for innovative, modern play structures and insisting on sunshades over all playground equipment whenever a park is due for renovation.

Social Services

I am also committed to making our parks more inclusive. I will explore opportunities within our existing park space to create an all-abilities playground, ensuring that every child can play, regardless of physical ability.

Social Services

In addition, I will work to find funding, land, and partnerships to create a dedicated dog park on the east side of Sandy—complete with covered seating and engaging equipment for our four-legged family members.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Invest in radar speed signs, mobile speed trailers, and data collection tools to monitor traffic patterns and inform strategic interventions.

Taxes / Budget

I believe in balanced, responsible spending of your tax dollars. As a budget-conscious leader, I will always prioritize needs over wants—ensuring that every dollar spent directly benefits our community. I am committed to doing what is in the best interest of Sandy residents, focusing on practical solutions and preserving the quality of life that makes our city exceptional.
