Education Let's protect our children's right to read, and make sure every child and family is represented in the library. Immigration Ensure District policies against ICE cooperation are enforced. Social Services Provide systems navigation support for families of students with disabilities. Infrastructure / Transportation Make campuses more accessible for neurodivergent students. Infrastructure / Transportation Recruit and retain more school bus drivers, enhance bus routes, and improve safety at bus stops. Taxes / Budget Partner with community organizations to support APS families with free and low-cost services. Education Support quality multicultural programs and language access. Taxes / Budget Work with the state legislature to ensure special education services protections and funding levels are maintained no matter what happens at the federal level. Wages / Job Benefits Provide quality professional development opportunities and work with teacher’s unions to improve workplace. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Protect our students from sexual abuse and dating violence by enshrining Title IX protections in our district as they are being dismantled at the federal level. No child should have to attend class with their abuser, attacker, or stalker. Civil Rights Direct the Superintendent to work with community leaders to conduct a full review of APS policies to ensure compliance with New Mexico civil rights protections, ensuring privacy and safety for our students. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Create more avenues for students and families to report bullying, engage in the resolution process, and receive support and early intervention services. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Protect professional standards of confidentiality and prioritize LGBTQ2s student safety.
