Environment / Energy The health and well-being of DuPage County residents can be improved by utilizing our forest preserves to their greatest extent. For residents to be able to appreciate the DuPage County Forest Preserves, the preserves have to be accessible and usable while keeping them in as close to a natural state as possible. Environment / Energy Open space is vital to DuPage County. Our Forest Preserves are one of our greatest assets. We need to preserve, expand and protect them for future generations. Education We need to promote and expand educational programs in our forest preserves. It is especially important to encourage our children to spend more time outdoors. With all the options young people have to fill their time we need to show them the value and benefits that can be obtained by utilizing the programs of the forest preserve.
