Infrastructure / Transportation Because seconds count, public and private roads, both paved and dirt, should be maintained at a level that doesn’t hinder our first-responders. Infrastructure / Transportation Unused State and Federal lands within our boundaries should be our recreation sites for walking, hiking, riding, playing, and simply enjoying our special environment. Infrastructure / Transportation While in previous General Plans our Town has been described as “The Jewel of the Quad-Cities”, we have not yet achieved that acclaim, but we should be effectively focused on accomplishing it. Government Reform Our Public Works employees should have proper work and equipment facilities, as should all of the Town Staff, and the Town should own instead of waste our budget by renting its Town Hall. Housing Maintaining R-70 (70,000 sq ft) zoning for the vast majority of residential parcels, and therefore the rural characteristic of our Town, should be fiercely protected. Economy We need an economic development area in order that our Incorporated Town can afford to be an incorporated town. Government Reform Our Town should be fixated on the safety, health, and quality-of-life of both the Town and her citizens, followed by implementation of the citizens’ General Plan.
