Social Services Uphold Scottsdale’s high standards and refuse to compromise on the quality, character and services that define our community. Environment / Energy Defend Scottsdale’s assured water supply and protect residents’ access to safe, reliable, high-quality drinking water. Scottsdale must increase its participation at the Legislature and in Washington as the seven Colorado River states renegotiate the future of the river. Arizona has already absorbed significant conservation cuts, and this imbalance with the Upper Basin states cannot be allowed to continue and they must contribute their fair share. Infrastructure / Transportation Protect and maintain Scottsdale’s roads and infrastructure, and stop policies such as road diets and light rail that erode roadway capacity, increase traffic, and reduce business accessibility. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Ensure safe streets and neighborhoods by supporting our police officers, enforcing zero tolerance for looting and criminal activity, and stopping the influx of homelessness through consistent enforcement of existing statutes. Taxes / Budget Rigorously scrutinize spending to eliminate waste and protect taxpayer dollars. Infrastructure / Transportation Preserve our culture and sophistication through intentional growth. I have and will continue to oppose high-density apartments and over development that are out of scale with our character and bring traffic congestion, noise pollution, and unsustainable demands on our water supply.
