Taxes / Budget In rural Shasta County, families, seniors, and small business owners live within a budget. We make careful choices, plan ahead, and understand that every dollar matters. County government should be held to the same standard. Government Reform No more wasteful spending starts with transparency. Taxpayers deserve to understand where their money is going and why. As Supervisor, I will push for budgeting and financial reporting that is clear, timely, and accessible to the public. Taxes / Budget Pet projects and poorly defined programs should never come at the expense of emergency response, road maintenance, or basic services—especially in rural and unincorporated areas. Taxes / Budget County government should focus on what matters most: public safety, reliable infrastructure, and essential services. When budgets are tight, we must separate needs from wants.
