My Top Issues

Infrastructure / Transportation

Work to continue improvements along the Green Springs corridor, including sidewalk connectivity to the Lakeshore Estates neighborhood.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Advocate to direct monies in the capital improvements budget to build or improve sidewalks along Valley, Saulter and Oxmoor Roads. These are relatively expensive sidewalk projects in our City, but also some of the most important for public safety and valuable to improve connectivity to schools, business and residences.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Together with community members, the City Manager and the Council, I will prioritize the development of a comprehensive plan, which includes among other priorities, a plan element to protect and honor the historic Rosedale community with a focus on preservation and improved infrastructure.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Improve parking management, including funding the police department to hire a parking enforcement officer to enforce city parking ordinances. This will result in more parking availability in downtown and in other areas with strained parking capacity. For downtown, parking over 3 hours would move to the City deck, freeing spaces for shorter term parking.

Environment / Energy

Support continued funding of stormwater management infrastructure and the implementation of the Stormwater Master Plan (passed in 2022).

Government Reform

I am committed to a successful transition to the Council-Manager structure, with better community engagement, communication, and responsiveness, leading to an efficient and effective government that you can rely on.

Arts / Culture

Homewood celebrates its 100-year anniversary in 2026! I am eager to work with the committee planning the centennial celebration to ensure we celebrate this important milestone in a variety of ways in each area of the City, including Ward 2.

Government Reform

Homewood has not updated its Comprehensive Plan since 2007. I look forward to working with residents to shape the vision and future of our City. This updated plan will guide our City's priorities, including land use at neighborhood commercial areas such as Edgewood and Green Springs.

Taxes / Budget

I will work with the City Manager to revamp our budgeting process, implementing detailed planning, so that budget adoption is more transparent, strategic, and inclusive of a multi-year capital projects program.

Government Reform

Work with the City Manager to develop a staffing plan for extended pool season dates (i.e., opening the pool earlier in the season and closing the pool later in the season).
