Healthcare Having intimately experienced the complexities and expenses that come with our nation’s broken healthcare system, Ryan will continue to take on Big Pharma to lower the price of prescription drugs—and work to ensure that everyone can access quality, affordable healthcare. Social Services Ryan will continue to push forward and fight for solutions to address our state’s overdose and mental health care crisis. Environment / Energy In Nevada, water is our most precious and scarce natural resource. As a member of the legislature, Ryan will support balanced and sustainable environmental practices, so all residents have access to a clean and safe water supply. Environment / Energy With climate change threatening the well-being and safety of our communities, Ryan will support smart energy solutions that create a more sustainable future for generations to come—and create more high-paying jobs for Nevadans. Education In the Assembly, he’ll fight for critical investments in our schools—and he’ll fight to reduce classroom sizes, raise teacher pay, and make sure that no student or family is left behind. To improve our school system, we must put students, parents, and teachers first. Economy As an entrepreneur himself, Ryan knows the small business community is the heart of our economy. He’ll work to support his fellow small business owners—and lower bureaucratic burdens so they can succeed and thrive. He supports cutting red tape to streamline the startup process—and investing in business incubation programs to help more people pursue their dreams of owning their own business. Economy Ryan will prioritize job creation and workforce development—giving hardworking Nevadans an edge in a competitive job market and more opportunities for high-paying careers. He’ll work with both parties to make smart investments to lure major employers to our state and continue to diversify Nevada’s economy. Economy He’ll work to ensure that Nevadans can keep their hard-earned dollars and enjoy a high quality of life—by working to pass legislation to streamline supply chains, keeping energy costs down, and holding corporations accountable for taking advantage of people. Infrastructure / Transportation Ryan will work with all sides to invest in our infrastructure, fix our roads, and protect our neighborhoods from weather damage. Criminal Justice / Public Safety He supports the expansion of smart, commonsense public safety solutions such as problem-solving courts, which have a proven track record of reducing recidivism and lowering the burden on law enforcement officers. To increase police and fire response times, Ryan supports embedding mental health and addiction support peers to assist law enforcement on non-violent mental health crisis calls—giving law enforcement more resources and time to respond to emergency calls. Government Reform In the Assembly, he’ll continue to reach across the aisle to find bipartisan solutions that serve Nevadans. For too long, the toxic nature of partisan politics has paralyzed our system of government. Ryan is committed to lowering the temperature of our political climate—and getting things done for our community. Housing Ryan will work on policies and initiatives to support the development of workforce housing—and he’ll work to ensure homeowners and renters are protected against runaway HOAs. Ryan is also committed to making sure that every unhoused individual has the support they need to get back on their feet and off the street. He believes we can solve our unhoused crisis while protecting the rights of property and business owners. Guns As a gun owner, Ryan will work across the aisle to find commonsense gun safety solutions in the legislature— protecting the rights of responsible gun owners and keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals. Abortion / Contraception Ryan will stand up for individual liberties and reproductive freedom. Defense / Veterans Ryan firmly believes the brave men and women who serve our country and community deserve the utmost respect. He’ll work to ensure our veterans have access to the supportive services they deserve—and that we’re taking care of the wellbeing of our first responders, police, firefighters, and emergency response workers.
