Environment / Energy Any industrial development, such as a data center, must be transparent about the chemicals used in cooling loops to prevent groundwater contamination. Infrastructure / Transportation We need to fix our current infrastructure choke points, such as the Tangerine interchange, rather than adding more traffic and strain without a plan. Environment / Energy As an Engineer, I approach growth by balancing inputs and outputs; we must rigorously calculate long-term water and electricity costs of every project. Environment / Energy We must learn from the PFAS crisis—which is costing us millions and raising water bills—by ensuring we know all the risks and chemical inputs of industrial projects before they are built. Infrastructure / Transportation Growth must be sustainable; we cannot allow projects that threaten to consume enough power for the entire city or deplete our groundwater in an active water management zone. Environment / Energy We need to move with "feet of lead" and careful planning to avoid stumbling into disasters, rather than rushing into projects like hyperscale data centers.
