Economy I do support state assistance in various means to spur economic develop to an extent and with possible performance clauses. Legislation I do believe that before a citizen lead proposal goes to the ballot or legislature for consideration there should be a judicial (or some other) review to ensure that the measure does not erode on the rights or freedom of any other group (in the same fashion I would hope a legislature’s bill would ensure not to discriminate or trample the rights of another party before submitting it for consideration). Wages / Job Benefits I support the right of every employee in every sector to unionize.I would even go a step further and suggest protections for employees trying to unionize need to be strengthened, reports of retaliation by employers need to be investigated and punished more often and severely, and even the laws surrounding different types of unions (public, private, unions governed by the RLA) need to be treated the same, without special carve-outs making it more difficult for sectors to unionize or seek self-help. For example, airline employees should not be held to tougher standards to even file for an initial election and the government should not be able to step in immediately and require employees (pubic or private) to return to work immediately or pass laws preventing employees from striking or seeking self-help; taking what bargaining power the employees have, away from the start.
